Hello Fellow Sponges

 The metal music genre is such an amazing collection of talent and genius that I have been in love with ever since I was a child. I have consumed it for over 20 years, and I do not think I will ever stop loving it. No matter what mood I am in, metal music is always there to cheer me up, or hype up when needed. However, the hardest part of being a consumer of metal music, is simply finding the music out there to enjoy. With at least 12 major sub genres of metal music out there to listen to spread out all over the world, it can be extremely difficult to find new and upcoming bands. The same typical pioneers of metal, and a few bands after are always recommended and listed out there for new people to the genre to listen to. For those who have been long time consumers of the genre, it is unlikely you will discover new talent.

I love many of the popular bands such as Slipknot, Slayer, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. I also love many foreign metal bands such as Nightwish and Jinjer. Then there's some lesser well known bands, or some that are just now gaining traction like Spiritbox, Iced Earth, & Beartooth that I also enjoy. 

In this blog I will be showing you some of the other talent out there that is amazing, and that I personally enjoy. At the very least I hope it will show those who have negative opinions about the genre that metal is not just screaming, and that there is amazing skill and talent involved in every metal band. In fact I would say some of the best metal bands out there have the most skill in the music industry when it comes to vocal talent, vocal range, the instruments they use, their instrument variety, and their ability to create space to allow instruments and their vocalist to shine dynamically.
